Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Announces 12 Key Positions Including Education Superintendents

March 1st Edition, Competency-Based 'Inclusive HR'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced the regular personnel appointments for 12 key positions effective March 1 this year.


In this personnel reshuffle, Park Jun, Superintendent of the Future Talent Division, was appointed as Head of the Future Talent Division at the headquarters; Park Jeong-ae, Head of the Education Support Division at Jangheung Education Support Office, was appointed as Head of the Student Life Education Division; Park Jae-hyun, Superintendent of the Physical Education and Health Division, was appointed as Head of the Physical Education and Health Division; Kim Eun-seop, Head of the Future Talent Division, was appointed as Head of the Career Education Division; and Kim Yeo-seon, Head of the Innovation Education Division, was appointed as Head of the Educational Autonomy Division.


For affiliated institutions, Oh Eun-joo, Head of the Education Information Department at the Creative Convergence Education Institute, was appointed as Director of the Education Research and Information Center, and Han Kyung-ho, Principal of Yeosu High School, was appointed as Director of the Education Training Institute.

Regional Education Support Office Chiefs were appointed as follows: Cho Young-rae, Head of the Democratic Citizen Life Education Division, as Hwasun Education Chief; Jeong Soon-mi, Head of the Education Support Division at Wando Education Support Office, as Jangheung Education Chief; Lee Byung-sam, Principal of Samho High School, as Gangjin Education Chief; Go Gwang-jin, Head of the Natural Exploration Branch at the Creative Convergence Education Institute, as Yeonggwang Education Chief; and Kim Jeong-seon, Principal of Suncheon Electronics High School, as Wando Education Chief.


The Provincial Office of Education stated that this personnel appointment focused on ‘Inclusion and Future’ to fully implement the policies of the 4th elected term, selecting fresh individuals with both capability and reputation.


In particular, it self-assessed that the appointments, centered on figures who will realize ‘student-centered future education’ and ‘pursuit of solidarity with the educational community’ emphasized by Superintendent Kim Dae-jung at his 100-day inauguration press conference, will bring a fresh breeze to Jeonnam education.


Superintendent Kim Dae-jung said, “This personnel appointment will be a driving force to open a new horizon for Jeonnam’s future education,” adding, “Through harmony with the educational community, we will actively support school sites and do our best to help Jeonnam’s children grow into ‘creative and inclusive individuals who cultivate the future.’”
