Gyeongnam Bank Holds Publication Celebration for 'Exploring Hot Places in Gyeongnam and Ulsan Together'

101 Sites Including Field Surveys Capturing Young Sensibilities

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] BNK Gyeongnam Bank has published a booklet featuring the ‘hot places’ in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan regions?spots with attractions, food, and entertainment?compiled with stunning photos and text to promote the local economy and support small business owners.


On the 13th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank held a ‘Together on a Trip to Gyeongnam and Ulsan Hot Places Publication Ceremony’ at the BNK Gyeongnam Bank Gallery in its headquarters.


The publication ceremony began with a string quartet performance, followed by a screening of the publication video, greetings and congratulatory speeches, book reviews, book donations, sponsorship fund contributions, and a rice cake cutting ceremony.


The ceremony was attended by many distinguished guests, including Bank President Choi Hong-young, Gyeongsangnam-do Vice Governor Choi Man-rim, Gyeongsangnam-do Council Vice Chairman Kang Yong-beom, Chairman Lee Sang-yeon of the Gyeongnam Employers Federation, Chairman Kang Ki-cheol of the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea, as well as local cultural artists and businesspeople.

In his greeting, President Choi Hong-young said, “The nineteenth local culture publication, ‘Together on a Trip to Gyeongnam and Ulsan Hot Places,’ features 101 local attractions that anyone in the community can easily visit, carefully selected by experts from various fields. Through this publication ceremony, I hope the beautiful spots in Gyeongnam and Ulsan will become widely known nationwide and contribute to revitalizing the local economy. Additionally, I hope it provides a great opportunity to see and enjoy the region’s charm and flavors.”


President Choi then handed over 10,000 copies of ‘Together on a Trip to Gyeongnam and Ulsan Hot Places’ to Vice Governor Choi of Gyeongsangnam-do, intending to distribute and place them in local libraries and small libraries for easy access by residents.


Furthermore, the 10 million KRW saved from reducing event expenses at the publication ceremony was donated as a sponsorship fund to help vulnerable groups in the region, adding significance to the publication of the local culture magazine.


The ‘Together on a Trip to Gyeongnam and Ulsan Hot Places’ booklet was created through field surveys, data collection via SNS, reporting, photography, and verification processes, capturing the sensibilities of today’s youth for 101 hot places in Gyeongnam and Ulsan.


Additionally, about ten experts from various fields, including photographers, reporters, and writers active in the region, conducted on-site reporting and wrote articles and took photos to vividly convey the atmosphere.


The main contents introduce hot places in Changwon Special City (8 locations), Ulsan Metropolitan City (8 locations), Jinju City (5 locations), Tongyeong City (5 locations), Sacheon City (5 locations), Gimhae City (5 locations), Miryang City (5 locations), Geoje City (5 locations), Yangsan City (5 locations), Uiryeong County (5 locations), Haman County (5 locations), Changnyeong County (5 locations), Goseong County (5 locations), Namhae County (5 locations), Hadong County (5 locations), Sancheong County (5 locations), Hamyang County (5 locations), Geochang County (5 locations), and Hapcheon County (5 locations).


Since 1996, BNK Gyeongnam Bank has been promoting the ‘Gyeongnam Bank Local Culture Magazine’ project to showcase the region’s beauty, and this year published the nineteenth booklet, ‘Together on a Trip to Gyeongnam and Ulsan Hot Places.’
