A Pakistani man residing in the United States has attracted attention by visiting the Turkish Embassy in the U.S. and donating $30 million (approximately 38.2 billion KRW) for earthquake relief and reconstruction efforts.

According to CNN on the 12th (local time), the anonymous Pakistani man made the donation to aid the victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, expressed on Twitter, "I am moved by the news of the $30 million donation," and described it as "a glorious act of charity that helps overcome seemingly insurmountable adversity." The specific identity of the donor, including his name, has not been disclosed.
Pakistan is located at the crossroads of South Asia and the Middle East. Currently, the Pakistani government is actively assisting by forming a committee to collect funds and provide supplies for Turkey and Syria.
Meanwhile, the death toll has surpassed 33,000 due to the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on the 6th, followed by a magnitude 7.5 earthquake 59 km northeast of Karamanmaras at 1:24 a.m. on the same day. The golden time of 72 hours has passed, and concerns are growing as there is a possibility of additional strong aftershocks.
