[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province, is making efforts to promote walking exercises in daily life and improve citizens' health.
The city announced on the 13th that it will operate the 'February WalkOn Challenge' (hereinafter referred to as the Challenge) to encourage citizens to walk for their health.
The February Challenge, running until the 26th, is operated as a small business-linked challenge to revitalize the local economy, with 8 participating businesses: 3 snack bars and 5 cafes.
The challenge rewards the first 1,200 participants who achieve 85,000 steps during the period with at least 6,000 steps per day (up to 8,000 steps per day).
The coupon usage period is available for one month from the 1st to the 31st of next month, and the coupons will automatically expire after the period ends.
A city official said, "The February Challenge is conducted as a small business-linked challenge, which is the most preferred by citizens. We hope everyone takes care of their health through walking in daily life and also receives coupons linked to small businesses."
