Donation Delivered to Buk-gu, Ulsan City on the 13th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dong-guk Lee] Lee Soon-geol, the governor of Ulju-gun, participated in a relay donation to promote and expand the Hometown Love Donation System, which is being implemented for the first time this year.
On the 13th, Governor Lee Soon-geol visited the NH Nonghyup Ulju-gun Office branch and delivered the Hometown Love donation fund to Buk-gu, Ulsan.
Ulju-gun had previously received the Hometown Love donation fund from Kim Young-gil, the mayor of Jung-gu, on the 9th, and participated in the relay donation on this day to continue the active donation atmosphere.
Currently, the county has prepared 14 types of return gifts such as Korean beef, Ulju Boba, and Ganjeolgot seaweed to promote the system, and after about 40 days since the system was implemented this year, the number of donors has surpassed 100.
Through various system promotions such as this relay donation and donations from sister cities, they plan to steadily increase the number of donors in the future.
Governor Lee Soon-geol said, “I hope that the Hometown Love Donation System, which has been implemented since this year, will be further activated through relay donations,” and added, “I hope it will be of great help not only in mutual cooperation between local governments but also in revitalizing the local economy.”
The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their current address, receiving tax deductions and return gifts worth up to 30% of the donation. Participation is possible through the internet portal ‘Hometown Love e-Eum’ or face-to-face donations at NH Nonghyup Bank.
Donations are used to improve residents' welfare, including support for vulnerable groups and youth, promotion of culture and arts, health improvement, and revitalization of local communities.
