The Winter Conference of the Society for Technology Management and Economics Held at Pukyong National University

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The '2023 Technology Management Economics Society Winter Conference,' co-hosted by the Graduate School of Technology Management at Pukyong National University and the Technology Management Economics Society, was held from the 9th to the 11th at Pukyong National University's Engineering Building 1.

With the theme of 'Overcoming Regional Extinction through Science and Technology Innovation,' the conference was attended by over 100 researchers from universities and related organizations.

The conference began with a keynote speech by Woo Young-hwan, Vice President of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, followed by a keynote presentation by Kim Hyung-gyun, Director of Busan Technopark, and included 22 paper presentations and discussions across seven sessions.

In particular, Pukyong National University organized a special session where master's and doctoral students from the Graduate School of Technology Management and the Department of Science and Technology Policy presented their papers and engaged in discussions with experts in the field of technology management.

The '2023 Society for Technology Management and Economics Winter Conference' is currently underway.

Founded in 1992, the Technology Management Economics Society is an academic society researching innovation policies in Korea, establishing academic and policy foundations for technological innovation, and studying technological innovation in Korean industry and science and technology policy based on these foundations.
