Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, “Along with national treasury proposal projects, please actively promote separate management of balanced national development conversion projects, review plans to attract private investment, and additionally reflect proposed projects related to regional pending issues such as the Yeongsangang Integrated River Project, creation of a national ecological garden in retention basins, food tech, and power semiconductors.”
He added, “It is necessary to continuously discover national treasury support projects linked to our regional pending issues through meticulous review and logical supplementation of key tasks in government ministries’ work reports and detailed projects in the budget.”
Furthermore, he emphasized, “Please strive to discover additional projects through close communication with local national and provincial institutions and the 16 relocated institutions in the Innovation City, and strengthen partnerships for regional development. Even if the city does not directly implement the projects, those linked to our region must be actively managed.”
