Daegu Ansillyeon Conducts Special Safety Inspection on the 20th Anniversary of the Subway Disaster

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-seon] The Daegu Safe Living Practice Citizens' Coalition is conducting a comprehensive safety inspection on the 20th anniversary of the ‘2.18 Subway Fire Disaster,’ focusing on the maintenance status of fire-fighting facilities within subway stations and identifying fire vulnerability factors in evacuation and fire prevention facilities.

Daegu Ansillyeon Conducts Special Safety Inspection on the 20th Anniversary of the Subway Disaster Daegu Ansillyeon is conducting CPR experience training for Daegu citizens who use the subway.

Additionally, safety campaign activities will be carried out within subway stations to raise safety awareness among passengers, along with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) experience training, which has gained increased attention following the Itaewon disaster.


On the 16th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a special safety inspection will be conducted at Banwoldang Station and Dongdaegu Station in Daegu city, covering the maintenance status of fire-fighting facilities within the stations and identifying fire vulnerability factors in evacuation and fire prevention facilities, addressing overall safety management.


Furthermore, starting at 10 a.m. on the 15th and continuing for two days, CPR training and fire evacuation mask wearing experience sessions will be held at Banwoldang Station and Jungangno Station in Daegu city. During this period, a fire evacuation mask wearing experience will also be conducted. In addition, a safety campaign promoting mask wearing on trains and fire safety will be carried out.
