Dongyang Mirae University (President Kim Gyo-il, hereinafter Dongyang Mirae University) announced on the 13th that it will additionally recruit new students for the 2023 academic year bachelor's degree major enhancement program.
The bachelor's degree major enhancement program is an educational system at junior colleges where students who have graduated from a 2-3 year associate degree program can complete an additional 1-2 years of advanced coursework to be awarded a bachelor's degree equivalent to that of a four-year university.
As volatility in the global economy intensifies, with companies halting new hires and an increasing number of employees taking leaves of absence, this period allows students to respond more flexibly to changes in the job market 1-2 years later through the bachelor's degree major enhancement program.
Additionally, since the bachelor's degree major enhancement program is mostly operated as an evening course, it allows students to balance work and study. As a result, more people are choosing to pursue the program while working to enhance their academic qualifications and strengthen their competitiveness.
Dongyang Mirae University also operates bachelor's degree programs in 12 practice-oriented departments to meet the needs of graduates who require both professional skill improvement and bachelor's degree acquisition through the major enhancement program.
In the first round of recruitment for the 2023 academic year bachelor's degree major enhancement program, 468 applicants applied, and a second round of recruitment will be conducted depending on the final registration results.
The additional recruitment numbers for the bachelor's degree major enhancement program are as follows: 14 for the Department of Mechanical Engineering (2-year), 9 for the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering (2-year), 1 for the Department of Electrical Engineering (2-year), 2 for the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering (2-year), 5 for the Department of Bio-Chemical Engineering (2-year), and 7 for the Department of Business Administration (2-year), totaling 38 students.
Eligibility for applying to the associate degree program requires graduation from a junior college or recognition of equivalent or higher academic qualifications, and the applicant's major must be in the same field as the associate degree program they are applying for.
The second application period is from the 15th to the 22nd until 3 PM. For application methods and detailed information, please refer to the Dongyang Mirae University admissions website.
