'Culture Tourism Homepage' 3rd Opening Event to Celebrate Renovation

March 13 to March 6, Participant Draw... Prizes Including Tourism Magnets

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] From the 13th of this month to the 6th of next month, Pohang City will hold a promotional event for the cultural tourism web platform ‘PwaengPwaeng Travel’ called ‘PwaengShulraeng with PwaengPwaeng Travel’.

‘PwaengShulraeng’ is a word combining the famously discerning gourmet guide ‘Michelin’ and Pohang’s ‘Pwaeng.’ Through this event, the city plans to discover and promote the hidden tastes of Pohang tourism by running a ‘Find Hidden Local Restaurants’ section for citizens and tourists, and a ‘Recommend Our Store’ corner for small business owners.

To participate, one can submit photos of restaurants and recommendation texts via a Naver form. Winners will be selected by lottery to receive tourism products such as ▲‘This Area’s Food Expert Award’ (tourism magnet) ▲‘Mmm Doctor Award’ (tourism puzzle) ▲‘JMT Award’ (tourism scratcher).

Park Sangjin, Director of the Convention and Tourism Industry Division, said, “This event was prepared to promote Pohang’s flavors through ‘Sikdorak (the joy of eating),’ which is indispensable in tourism. We hope citizens will take great interest in this event and actively serve as ambassadors introducing hidden Pohang restaurants to tourists.”
