[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] On Sunday the 12th, the entire country will gradually become cloudy from the morning, with rain expected in the southern regions in the afternoon.


The rain starting in the afternoon will expand to the Jeonnam area, western Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island, and by night will spread to other parts of Gyeongnam. From night, due to the influence of easterly winds, rain or snow will begin in the Gangwon mountain areas and along the East Coast.


Expected precipitation amounts until the 13th are 10?40 mm for Jeju Island, 5?20 mm for Gangwon mountain areas and East Coast, 5?10 mm for the southern coast of Jeonnam, and less than 5 mm for the Jeonnam area (excluding the southern coast) and Gyeongnam area.


Expected snowfall amounts until the 13th are 5?20 cm in the Gangwon mountain areas and 2?7 cm along the Gangwon East Coast.


As of 9 a.m. that day, temperatures in major areas are Seoul 0.4°C, Incheon -0.1°C, Suwon -1.1°C, Chuncheon -3.2°C, Gangneung 6.2°C, Cheongju -1.7°C, Daejeon -1.5°C, Jeonju 1.2°C, Gwangju 2.0°C, Jeju 11.9°C, Daegu 1.2°C, Busan 8.1°C, Ulsan 4.6°C, Changwon 1.6°C, etc.


The highest daytime temperatures are forecasted to be between 7 and 14°C. Seoul is expected to reach a high of 9°C.


Fine dust concentrations will be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Yeongseo region of Gangwon, Chungcheong region, Gwangju, Jeonbuk, and Daegu, while other regions will see 'moderate' levels.


However, Gyeongbuk is expected to have 'bad' levels in the morning.


Low clouds may form in the Gangwon mountain areas, so caution is advised for traffic safety.


Sea waves will be 0.5?2.0 m in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5?1.0 m in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5?1.5 m in the South Sea coastal waters.


Wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) of the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea are predicted to be 0.5?2.0 m.
