Mayor Park said, "I hope the Hometown Love Donation Program, which is being implemented for the first time this year, will be successfully established. I hope this donation will be an opportunity to promote friendly cooperation and mutual development among sister cities."

Earlier, on the 3rd, Choi Kyung-sik, mayor of Namwon City, took the lead in mutual donation by first donating funds to Miryang.

Miryang City has prepared 14 types of 12 return gifts, including Eulgolgul apples, agar jelly sets, Arari rice, and sets of Korean pork and beef. The city plans to promote the program through various methods, including advertising the Hometown Love Donation Program in the Miryang City newsletter sent to expatriates and citizens.

The Hometown Love Donation Fund allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW per person to local governments other than their registered address. Donors can receive return gifts worth up to 30% of the donation amount, and donations up to 100,000 KRW are fully tax-deductible, with a 16.5% tax credit on the excess amount.
