Until the 24th, for all residents

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Ulsan Ulju-gun is expanding the recruitment of 'Honorary Social Welfare Officers' to strengthen the community protection system based on resident participation.

Ulju-gun Expands Recruitment of Honorary Social Welfare Officers Ulju County Office.

Honorary Social Welfare Officers are unpaid honorary positions serving as a human safety net where residents voluntarily participate in identifying and supporting vulnerable households in the community. Currently, about 800 people, including members of the Community Social Security Council and village heads, are active in Ulju-gun.

Ulju-gun plans to additionally recruit appointees targeting landlords of housing-vulnerable households, workers in daily life-related businesses such as restaurants, retail stores, and convenience stores, as well as residents who are well acquainted with local circumstances.

The intensive recruitment period is until the 24th of this month, and applications are accepted year-round thereafter.

Residents wishing to participate can visit their local eup/myeon administrative welfare center to submit their application.

A county official stated, "There continue to be unfortunate incidents involving households in welfare blind spots, but administrative agencies alone have limitations in responding, so active interest and participation from local residents are necessary," adding, "Through this intensive recruitment period, we plan to additionally recruit candidates capable of community-based activities to further strengthen the welfare safety net."
