SD BioLife Launches New Business with Camping Subscription Service 'CAMDY'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] SD Bioscience announced that it is actively promoting the camping subscription service "CAMDY," which packages portable power banks utilizing secondary battery-based IoT and essential camping device products based on this technology.


The company is working on launching subscription services in various fields using secondary batteries (electric vehicles, various electric equipment, etc.), and the camping subscription service based on IoT-powered power banks is its first project.


The camping subscription service offers the great advantage of allowing anyone to travel easily without the burden of purchasing costs. The sample production of the IoT-based power bank is underway, with web services planned for late this month to early March, and a large-scale IR event related to CAMDY is also being planned for mid-March.


The camping subscription service consists of an integrated management platform service that uses IoT technology to monitor power bank information and GPS location in real time, various electric products needed for camping (camping air conditioners and heaters, camping-specialized induction cookers, camping lights, beam projectors, etc.), a variety of selectable camping supplies, and carefully selected high-quality meal kits based on subscribers' requests.


By using the CAMDY subscription service, users can efficiently enjoy delicious meals in a short time through smartphone reservations anywhere without the need to individually purchase or manage camping equipment worth millions of won.


The newly launched CAMDY subscription service aims to revolutionize logistics by establishing an innovative logistics system where users can receive supplies directly while traveling to the campsite and return them immediately on the way back, aiming to differentiate camping culture.


A company official stated, "The camping population is currently explosively increasing, exceeding 7 million," and added, "CAMDY is a systematic camping subscription service in the rapidly growing camping market, which is expanding annually to a scale of over 7 trillion won."


He continued, "The nature-friendly emotional culture that allows for stealth camping, camp picnics, and car camping, which have been rapidly increasing recently, is expected to expand further and serve as a lever to broaden the market into a comfortable space that the camping population can more easily approach."
