Mileage Purchase for 32 Items Until the 2nd of Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Korean Air announced that it will hold the ‘Skypass Deal’ event from the 9th to March 2nd, allowing members to use Skypass mileage in their daily lives to welcome spring.
The theme of the event is ‘Cheering for a New Start in Spring,’ offering a total of 32 items that can be purchased with mileage, including digital electronics, bags, wallets, and home training equipment needed for preparing for the new semester and starting a vibrant year. Starting from this event, not only goods but also four types of mobile food and beverage coupons such as coffee and chicken can be purchased with mileage.
Customers can purchase products by accessing the ‘Skypass Deal’ site through the event page on the Korean Air website or the top banner of the Mileage Mall. The event is planned to be sold in limited quantities, and it may end early once the prepared quantity is sold out.
Korean Air first introduced the Skypass Deal event in June 2022 to provide opportunities for customers whose mileage usage was limited due to COVID-19. It has been successfully held four times in total.
Korean Air plans to continue offering seasonal events with various themes, such as preparing an event for Family Month in April, allowing customers to use mileage to purchase products.
Meanwhile, since January 2022, Korean Air has enabled mileage accumulation and usage at nationwide Emart stores through a partnership with Emart. From November 2022, mileage can be converted into Marriott Bonvoy points, allowing stays at Marriott-affiliated hotels worldwide. In February 2023, the mileage usage range was further expanded through a partnership with Kyobo Bookstore. Additionally, various Korean Air logo products purchasable with mileage have been launched at the KAL Store.
Korean Air plans to continue expanding services and partnerships so that customers can use mileage more easily and conveniently in their daily lives.
