GH, First Public Institution in Gyeonggi-do to Eliminate Single-Use Items... Establishes Reusable Container System

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) has established the first in Gyeonggi Province public institutions an in-house 'Reusable Container Usage System' to reduce the use of disposable products.

The reusable container usage system refers to a systematic circulation system that uses reusable cups provided by local self-sufficiency centers instead of disposable products, then collects, cleans, and redistributes them.

GH replaced disposable cups used in the on-site cafe with reusable cups. The rental and cleaning of reusable cups are handled by the local self-sufficiency center, contributing to job creation.

Kim Se-yong, President of GH, stated, "Through the establishment and operation of this reusable container usage system, we plan to curb indiscriminate use of disposable products, reduce the amount of waste generated within the office building, and practice ESG management. Starting next month, we will expand the reusable container usage system to field offices and actively pursue carbon neutrality to reduce carbon emissions across all business sites."
