All Busan Startup Organizations Gather... Clearing Up Questions
Support Agencies Participate at City Hall on the 15th at 2 PM
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City will hold the ‘2023 Busan Startup Support Project Joint Briefing Session,’ the first to be conducted simultaneously online and offline, on the 15th at 2 PM in the main auditorium on the first floor of City Hall, together with 10 startup support organizations.
The 10 participating organizations are Busan Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Busan Small and Medium Venture Business Promotion Corporation, Economic Promotion Agency, Creative Economy Innovation Center, Busan Technopark, Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency, Design Promotion Agency, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation.
Held offline for the first time in three years, this briefing session allows attendees to hear about startup support policies promoted by various organizations and policy funds from major guarantee institutions all in one place. It is designed to support prospective entrepreneurs who feel uncertain about entering the market and startup entrepreneurs facing difficulties in business management through 1:1 on-site consultations with startup support organizations and professional mentors.
The event will be conducted in two parts: Part 1 Policy Briefing (2 PM to 3 PM) and Part 2 On-site Consultation and Mentoring (3 PM to 4:30 PM).
In Part 1, Busan City and Busan Small and Medium Venture Business Administration will explain startup support projects from the city and government, while Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Small and Medium Venture Business Promotion Corporation will explain loan and guarantee systems of policy funds.
Following that, in Part 2, 10 startup support organizations and six professional mentors across five fields (general management, labor, taxation, patents, marketing) will conduct 1:1 customized on-site consultations tailored to participants’ needs.
The event will be held simultaneously online and offline, with online streaming available in real time via ‘Busan Metropolitan City Bada TV’ and the startup YouTube channel ‘B Star TV.’
The Part 1 policy briefing of the offline event is open to all without prior registration, while Part 2 on-site consultations will be prioritized for those who pre-register through the Busan Startup Portal. The first 500 attendees will receive a startup support project guidebook containing over 180 startup support policies.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “I am grateful that the joint briefing session, which had been held online due to COVID-19, is now being held offline for the first time in three years, allowing various related organizations to gather in one place and communicate directly. We have prepared a valuable time to resolve difficulties faced by (prospective) entrepreneurs at various stages from entry to growth and to help them find the startup information they want. We ask for the active interest and participation of entrepreneurs.”
