Director Jeong Tae-sim said, “Looking back on the volunteer activities with the children of Lotus Flower Kindergarten over the past year, I feel proud that we have been carrying out warm and meaningful activities,” and added, “Through the launch ceremony of the children’s volunteer corps, I will strive even harder to continuously engage in volunteer activities with our children and realize the value of volunteering.”

Governor Jang Chung-nam said, “Today, I once again felt that volunteering is not something only adults can do, but anyone regardless of age or gender can participate. Knowing and practicing the value of volunteering from early childhood seems to be the first step to growing into a social member who can empathize with and care for others. It is truly meaningful, and I am glad to be part of the launch ceremony of Namhae-gun’s first children’s volunteer corps.”

The children of Lotus Flower Kindergarten hold a flea market every year and consistently donate all the proceeds to the Community Chest of Korea. They have also paid continuous attention to environmental improvement issues by participating not only in plogging activities but also in recycling activities.
