[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is offering weekend farm plots to residents and workers in Guro-gu.
Guro-gu stated on the 9th, "The weekend farm, where you can experience rural life close to the city, has been steadily popular for over 10 years," and added, "This year, applications for weekend farm plots will be accepted starting from the 13th."
The weekend farm located in Gung-dong consists of a total of 535 plots divided into 4 zones.
Each plot is approximately 16㎡, and one plot can be leased per household. The leasing fee is 60,000 KRW per year.
Those who wish to apply can do so through the district office website's integrated reservation system from the 13th to the 22nd.
Guro-gu plans to announce the winners through a computerized lottery on the 27th.
A Guro-gu official said, "We hope you enjoy the dual benefits of cultivating crops yourself at the weekend farm and tasting fresh ingredients harvested."
