Mokpo City Holds Dialogue with Citizens Together with Sinan County Residents

Touring 23 Neighborhoods from the 10th to the 8th of Next Month

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo City will hold the 2023 City Information Report Meeting and Dialogue with Citizens.

According to the city on the 8th, starting with Bujudong and Buheungdong on the 10th, it will tour 23 neighborhoods three times a week, two neighborhoods per day, until the 8th of next month.

The dialogue with citizens aims to share the key policies and promotion directions of the 8th elected administration with the citizens, gather opinions from various fields, and actively reflect policy proposals and suggestions in city administration.

Submitted citizen policy proposals or suggestions will be reviewed and addressed by the relevant departments, and matters requiring mid- to long-term promotion such as budget securing will have separate promotion plans established. Various opinions on city administration will be actively collected and reflected.

In particular, this dialogue with citizens will invite sister organizations from towns and townships of Sinan County to expand private-level exchanges between the two cities and counties and to broaden understanding and consensus on city administration issues.

A city official said, “This dialogue will be a good opportunity to communicate with citizens about the direction of city administration,” and added, “We ask for the interest and participation of many citizens.”
