"Utilizing Crisis Situations," Metaverse Training to be Conducted in the Second Half of the Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training will be conducted for Ulsan public officials.
The Ulsan Fire Department will provide CPR training to 1,390 city hall public officials at the City Council 1st floor Citizen Hall over seven weeks from the 8th to March 23.
This training is part of a policy to strengthen CPR education, primarily aimed at enhancing public officials' emergency treatment skills so they can respond immediately in emergency situations. It will gradually be expanded to companies and the general public.
The training content includes ▲ actions to take during emergencies and how to report to 119 ▲ how to check the responsiveness of cardiac arrest patients ▲ CPR methods and practice ▲ use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
Jung Byung-do, head of the Fire Department, said, “We have prepared this training so that any Ulsan city official can become an emergency responder and protect citizens' lives,” adding, “We hope everyone shows active interest in CPR, which can save lives if learned.”
For citizens, CPR training is also being offered by reservation via phone or internet at nearby fire stations or the Ulsan Safety Experience Center.
From the second half of the year, virtual space training will be conducted through an expanded virtual world online platform (metaverse platform).
Additionally, various events are being prepared, including awarding CPR certificates and commemorative badges, operating CPR experience booths at major festivals and tourist attractions in the Ulsan area, free rental services for training equipment, a general public CPR competition (in April), and an intensive CPR promotion period (September to October).
