Suwon City Builds Korea's First Cloud-Based Integrated Common 업무 System for Public Institutions

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province has built an integrated groupware (electronic document) system for public institutions, completing the nation's first cloud-based integrated system for common public institution tasks.

Suwon City announced on the 8th that following the establishment of an integrated ERP (budget, accounting, personnel, service, payroll) for public institutions from 2020 to 2022, it has now built an integrated groupware system, creating a foundation for 12 public institutions to collaborate organically.

The integrated groupware for public institutions provides services such as electronic documents, messenger, webmail, and institution portals.

In January, seven public institutions including Suwon City Sports Council, Suwon Disabled Sports Council, and Suwon International Exchange Center switched their operations to the integrated groupware, and by July, all institutions will be using the integrated groupware.

With the completion of the integrated system for common public institution tasks, all public institutions in Suwon City have established an environment that enables telecommuting based on information services.

Additionally, electronic documents can now be used in all public institutions, eliminating manual processing in common institutional tasks and ensuring transparency of data.

The city previously established the "Standard for Common Public Institution Tasks" and on the 31st of last month, provided training on system operation and task processing methods to public institution employees who will be using the new integrated groupware (electronic document) system.

A city official expressed expectations, stating, "With the establishment of the integrated groupware system, the collaboration foundation among public institutions will be laid, improving work efficiency."
