CU's Deuktem Series Sells 10 Million Units... "Super Special Price Worked" Got stir-fried kimchi.

CU announced on the 8th that its ultra-low-priced private brand (PB) Deuktem series has surpassed a cumulative sales volume of 10 million units.


The Deuktem series has offered various products with high customer demand, such as kimchi, ramen, eggs, and tissues, at about half the price. Last year, sales of the Deuktem series increased 8.4 times compared to the previous year, and from January 1 to February 5 this year, sales rose 7.3 times year-on-year.


The cumulative sales volume consisted of 4 million units of Hot Bar Deuktem (2,300 KRW), 3 million units of Ramen Deuktem (380 KRW), 2.5 million units of Cooked Rice Deuktem (1,150 KRW), 600,000 units of Tissue Deuktem (800 KRW), and 500,000 units of Egg Deuktem (4,900 KRW). Each product has dominated the top ranks in its subcategory by absorbing shopping demand with strong price competitiveness.


CU will release the 20th product this month, Stir-fried Kimchi Deuktem (2,500 KRW). This product will be launched in a small 150g portion for convenient individual purchase and is priced about 30% lower than other small-pack stir-fried kimchi products.


A BGF Retail official said, “As the popularity of the Deuktem series, introduced as part of the price stabilization project, continues, we have expanded the lineup to include small-portion side dishes. We will continue to offer various Deuktem series products and discount events for customers shopping at convenience stores, which have established themselves as a representative nearby shopping platform.”
