[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that it is providing financial support for denture and prosthetic procedures to low-income individuals who have difficulty eating due to early tooth loss.
The support targets low-income groups residing in the area, including basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty health insurance converters, and severely disabled persons, who meet the following health insurance premium criteria: ▲ Ages 40 to 64 (regional subscribers paying 62,500 KRW or less, workplace subscribers paying 117,000 KRW or less) ▲ Ages 65 and older (regional subscribers paying 62,500 KRW or less, workplace subscribers paying 117,000 KRW or less).
Applications can be submitted by the 10th with necessary documents such as ID, health insurance premium payment confirmation, and resident registration certificate at the county health center or the Northern, Chogye, and Samga health sub-centers.
Once confirmed as eligible, applicants can receive the required dentures or prosthetics at a dental medical institution of their choice within the county.
For dentures (full or partial) for seniors aged 65 and older, applicants must not have had dentures made under health insurance within the past 7 years. Implants are supported up to two per person for a lifetime. However, implant support does not apply in cases of complete edentulism where there are no teeth at all.
