[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Jo] Hana Tour announced on the 7th that its consolidated operating loss for last year was 101.2 billion KRW, a decrease in the deficit compared to the previous year (127.3 billion KRW), according to a preliminary report.
Sales reached 115 billion KRW, an increase of 185.58% compared to the previous year, marking the highest level since the COVID-19 pandemic. Net loss narrowed to 65.9 billion KRW. The operating loss for the fourth quarter was 16 billion KRW, a reduction compared to 35.2 billion KRW in the same period last year. Sales and net profit for this quarter were 46.1 billion KRW and 9.4 billion KRW, respectively.
Hana Tour's outbound travelers in the fourth quarter were approximately 307,000, a 110% increase compared to the previous quarter. This recovered to about 28% of the fourth quarter of 2019, before COVID-19. Among them, package tour travelers numbered about 130,000, a 107% increase compared to the previous quarter.
