[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kang Jongman) announced that it is recruiting students for the 'Senior Welfare Center Program' for the healthy and vibrant old age of the elderly until the 17th.
The program, which will be operated from next month until December, consists of a total of 11 courses: 2 lifelong education courses, Korean language class, calligraphy class, 9 hobby classes, Korean dance, traditional dance gymnastics, yoga, line dance, accordion, total crafts, sports dance, gateball class, and a singing class (new program).
Students are recruited on a first-come, first-served basis, and if the number of applicants does not meet the standard, the program will be canceled. Tuition is free, but students must bear the cost of program textbooks and materials separately.
Elderly residents aged 60 or older in the district who wish to enroll can visit the county senior welfare center to apply.
An official from the senior welfare center said, "We have prepared various programs to promote a healthy and vibrant old age life for the elderly," and added, "We ask many residents who wish to enroll to apply within the application period."
