Won Jong-woo, CEO of Science and People, Appears on Kim Eo-jun's Broadcast
"90% of the Cells in Our Body Are Blood"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] "It is possible to transfuse a little blood from young people, but there is actually a therapy in the world that completely replaces all the blood. And I know someone in our country who is receiving that."
Won Jong-woo, CEO of Science and People, said this on the 7th during an appearance on the YouTube broadcast 'Kim Eo-jun's Humility is Difficult News Factory (Humility Factory).' CEO Won explained, "What scientists approached before genetics was changing the blood. The phrase 'transfusing young blood' is literal."
He was referring to the idea that completely replacing an older person's blood with young blood has the effect of preventing aging. CEO Won said, "It is effective. That person is very old, but looks literally 30 to 40 years younger. They look unimaginably young. I cannot disclose the name due to legal issues, but it is someone I know."

CEO Won said, "That person regularly goes abroad every 2 or 3 years to receive that procedure," and explained, "This procedure is technically possible." While some people may have youthful faces, aging itself cannot be stopped, but the method of blood transfusion is claimed to be effective.
CEO Won said, "Although blood looks like a liquid, 90% of the cells in our body exist in the blood. Blood occupies a very large part of our body, circulating to deliver substances and remove unnecessary things. As we age, blood also causes inflammation later on."
Regarding the process of replacing one's own blood with new blood, CEO Won said, "It seems to be on the borderline between illegal and legal. It varies by country, but if it becomes known, it looks bad for everyone. It has a vampire-like feeling. There is a tendency to keep it quiet because young people's blood is bought, and poor people sell their blood, which is taken by old and wealthy people. But there are people worldwide receiving this procedure."
However, CEO Won also pointed out problems that could arise if the science of rejuvenation becomes commercialized. He said, "If done wrong, it could create a strange rich-get-richer, poor-get-poorer situation where wealthy people live extremely long and poor people die quickly. This is a socially very dangerous issue, so we need to address these aspects together as we move forward."
