[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Kolon Group held the ‘Dream Pack Donation Angel Campaign’ on the afternoon of the 6th to support a new start for low-income children ahead of the new semester by delivering various gifts packed together.

In line with the meaning of ‘a new start,’ the event held at Kolon Motors Samsung Showroom in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by Kolon Mobility Group co-CEOs President Kyooho Lee and President Cheolwon Jeon, along with employees who participated in volunteer activities. About 50 Kolon Mobility Group employees who participated on this day prepared a total of 850 Dream Packs containing school supplies such as pens, notebooks, and workbooks needed for the new semester, as well as about 10 types of gifts including wireless earphones, which are popular among children, along with handwritten support postcards written by the employees themselves. These will be delivered directly by employees or sent by courier to 30 local children’s centers near nationwide business sites.

The ‘Dream Pack Donation Angel Campaign’ is Kolon’s unique social contribution activity that started in 2012. All processes from fundraising, production, to delivery of Dream Packs are carried out with employee participation, and the funds are increased by matching the employees’ donations with company support funds. Since the campaign began, the amount raised by employees has gradually increased every year, allowing more Dream Packs to be gifted to children annually. The Dream Pack Donation Angel Campaign has established itself as the first volunteer activity for new Kolon employees, spreading internally the role of corporate citizenship by encouraging children starting a new semester and contributing to the local community.

This year, Kolon Mobility employees added special meaning by starting their first official activity since the company’s launch with social contribution work. Most departments, including sales and mechanics, participated alongside the co-CEOs, strengthening a sense of unity as ‘one team.’ Junior staff member Jiwon Han from the HR team, who directly participated in the volunteer work, said, “Seeing the children happy and joyful upon receiving the Dream Packs naturally brought a smile to my face. I want to continue participating in various volunteer activities and become someone who delivers dreams to others.”

Kolon established the ‘Kolon Social Volunteer Group’ in 2012 with the slogan ‘Stepping Stone Toward Dreams, Dream Partners,’ expressing the commitment to be a partner in creating children’s dreams through various social contribution activities. The Kolon Social Volunteer Group runs programs such as ‘Hello Dream,’ which helps marginalized youth find and nurture their dreams, with about 5,000 employees participating annually in various volunteer activities.
