SK Bioscience Obtains ISO Certification for Information Security Management System

[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] SK Bioscience announced on the 7th that its headquarters in Pangyo and the Andong L-House vaccine production facility have obtained the 'ISO 27001' certification, an international information security standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

ISO 27001 is a certification awarded only to companies verified after evaluation and audit of 14 information security management areas and 114 control items, including physical and environmental security and network security, conducted through certification bodies designated by ISO.

SK Bioscience prepared for the certification evaluation over six months according to the guidelines required by the European Union's (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and received the final conformity judgment in November last year.

SK Bioscience not only acquired the domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality management standard KGMP in 2014 but also became the first domestic vaccine manufacturing facility to obtain EU-GMP certification in 2020.
