Naver Cloud Builds Cloud System for IBK Industrial Bank

First Financial Institution to Establish Multi-Hybrid Cloud

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Naver Cloud announced on the 7th that it has completed the system construction by providing its hybrid cloud service, 'Neuro Cloud,' to IBK Industrial Bank of Korea's cloud system.

As part of its digital transformation management strategy, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea built this system to support new businesses and projects based on the cloud. Due to the characteristics of public and financial institutions, it introduced Naver Cloud's hybrid cloud, 'Neuro Cloud,' to maintain high security while utilizing the flexibility of the cloud.

Neuro Cloud is a customer-dedicated hybrid cloud service that places equipment within the customer's premises and integrates Naver Cloud Platform's cloud services as needed. It provides functions that comply with internal security regulations while supporting a flexible IT environment, which is an advantage of public cloud, and allows integrated management.

Through Neuro Cloud, sensitive personal and financial information systems are configured on a private cloud, while tasks requiring linkage with external organizations are configured on a public cloud. This is a case connecting beyond private to public cloud. The multi-cloud built with a hybrid cloud-based CMP (Cloud Management Platform) is the first among public and financial institutions.

The IBK Cloud system built with Neuro Cloud is equipped with functions necessary for various digital businesses performed by IBK Industrial Bank of Korea. IBK employees can create required cloud IT resources through the cloud system and smoothly carry out informatization projects by utilizing cloud-based project development and test environments (sandbox).
