On the 7th (Korean time), Rose rose to 35th place in the weekly men's golf world rankings with an average ranking point of 2.3474. He jumped 36 spots from 71st place last week.

Earlier that day, he finished the PGA Tour AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (total prize money $9 million) at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California, USA (par 72, 6,972 yards) with a final total of 18-under-par 269, beating the joint second-place group including Brandon Todd and Brandon Wu (both USA) by 3 strokes to claim the top spot. This was his 11th career win and his first since winning the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2019. The winner's prize money was $1.62 million (approximately 2 billion KRW).

He joined the PGA Tour in 2004 and was once ranked number one in the world. He won a gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics but fell into a slump from 2020 at age 40, failing to win on both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. After a long time, he added another trophy and his ranking, which had dropped to 76th at the end of last year, is also rebounding. Rose exclaimed, "I won for the first time in a really long time," and said, "It was an incredible week from start to finish."

Abraham Ancer (Mexico), who won the season opener of the Asian Professional Golf Tour, also rose to 26th place in the weekly world rankings with an average ranking point of 2.7409. He climbed 11 spots from 37th place last week.

On the 5th, he won the Asian Professional Golf Tour PIF Saudi International at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club (par 70, 7,048 yards) in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia, with a score of 19-under-par 261. Although the PIF Saudi International is an Asian Tour event, it offers a total prize money of $5 million and attracts many famous players, resulting in high ranking points.

Ancer has one PGA Tour win and was once ranked 11th in the world, but his ranking dropped after moving to LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabian capital, last year. LIV Golf does not award ranking points.

Meanwhile, the top 10 players including Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Scottie Scheffler (USA), Jon Rahm (Spain), Cameron Smith (Australia), Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, Justin Thomas (all USA), and Matt Fitzpatrick (England) saw no changes in their rankings. Korean players Kim Joo-hyung (21) and Im Sung-jae (25) held their positions at 14th and 18th respectively, while Lee Kyung-hoon (32) and Kim Si-woo (28) each dropped one spot to 41st and 42nd place.
