Cha, who debuted as a singer in 2015, has promoted her hometown by releasing "Naju Yeonga," a song expressing longing for her hometown and introducing tourist attractions, in her second album released in 2018.

Since 2020, she has also been donating year-end donations annually to help neighbors in need, showing warmth to the residents of her hometown.

On that day, Cha met with Mayor Yoon Byung-tae along with members of her fan club and shared her thoughts on donating the hometown love donation.

She said, "As a singer who sings about my hometown Naju, I have continuously donated album sales proceeds to neighbors in need," and added, "I am happy to participate in this meaningful opportunity to support the development of my hometown through the hometown love donation system."

Mayor Yoon Byung-tae responded, "I appreciate your consistent affection and interest in your hometown, and I will continue to support your success as a singer," adding, "We will use the donation carefully for regional development and welfare enhancement."

The hometown love donation system is a program where individuals (donors) who donate a certain amount to regions other than their registered address receive tax deduction benefits, and the recipient region provides thank-you gifts to the donors.

Up to 100,000 won of the donation is fully tax-deductible, and the amount exceeding 100,000 won receives a 16.5% tax deduction benefit. Thank-you gifts reflecting the characteristics of the region are provided within 30% of the donation amount.

Individuals wishing to participate in Naju City's hometown love donation system can pay donations online through the "Hometown Love e-um" system or pay in person at any NongHyup branch nationwide.

Meanwhile, the city offers thank-you gifts such as Naju pears, rice, mixed grains sets, melons, natural dye products, Naju Mall mileage (points), Naju Love gift certificates, and accommodation experience vouchers at the Naju Moksa Naea. Naju City plans to continuously discover thank-you gifts that satisfy donors and promote Naju.
