Directly Listening to Residents' Voices on Site, Actively Reflecting Opinions in County Administration
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Lee Byeongno, the mayor of Damyang County, is promoting the first round of visiting dialogues with residents since the launch of the 8th local government administration.
According to the county on the 6th, this dialogue with residents was prepared to explain the direction of county administration in 2023, listen to public opinion from local sites, communicate, and actively reflect residents' difficulties and concerns in county administration.
Starting from Damyang-eup on the 14th, the dialogues will be held in the order of 12 towns and townships: ▲14th Damyang-eup, Bongsan-myeon ▲15th Geumseong-myeon, Mujeong-myeon ▲16th Goseo-myeon, Gasamunhak-myeon ▲21st Changpyeong-myeon, Daedeok-myeon ▲22nd Yong-myeon, Wolsan-myeon ▲23rd Subuk-myeon, Daejeon-myeon.
Mayor Lee Byeongno has been practicing communication administration by visiting sites daily since his inauguration based on the principles of listening and serving, gathering residents' opinions, gaining their understanding and sympathy, and promptly resolving various complaints heard on site.
On the 25th of last month, he visited senior centers in the 12 towns and townships to deliver New Year's greetings, check on the well-being of elderly residents struggling with the sharply dropping temperatures, and listen to their difficulties.
Mayor Lee Byeongno said, “As we mark the practical first year of the 8th local government administration, this dialogue with residents aims to communicate more closely and find solutions tailored to the local circumstances of pressing issues. I ask for active participation and valuable opinions so that we can bring about changes that residents can truly feel.”
