WEMAKEPRICE and Areumdawoon Store Create 'Areumdawoon Forest' at Sangam-dong Noeul Park

WEMAKEPRICE announced on the 6th that it has carried out the 'Beautiful Forest' creation project at Noeul Park in Sangam-dong in collaboration with Beautiful Store.

The 'Beautiful Forest' project is an urban forest creation initiative that Beautiful Store has been conducting since 2017 to reduce fine dust and improve air quality in the city. Through this collaboration, WEMAKEPRICE created an urban forest covering 220㎡ on the northern slope area of Noeul Park in Sangam-dong, planting 430 saplings including quince trees and Hovenia dulcis trees.

WEMAKEPRICE established this 'Beautiful Forest' using the profits accumulated over the past two years from the Reper Day bazaar. This continued the resource circulation and sharing activities in line with the event's purpose.

Reper Day is a social contribution activity launched in June 2014 through an agreement with the non-profit public interest foundation Beautiful Store. To date, WEMAKEPRICE has donated reper products worth 2.8 billion KRW, totaling 85,000 items.

The bazaar operates by WEMAKEPRICE donating products that were exchanged or returned due to simple user change of mind, and Beautiful Store inspecting and selling them at a 50-70% discount compared to the original price. The goal is to recycle resources by reusing items that would have been discarded and to reduce waste.

Additionally, customers participating in the bazaar can purchase needed products at affordable prices while contributing to environmental protection and donations.

Heo Bu-young, Head of Corporate Culture at WEMAKEPRICE, said, "This urban forest creation project is significant because it utilized the profits from the ongoing Reper Day to develop a new social contribution activity," adding, "We will continue various value activities for resource circulation in the future."

Meanwhile, WEMAKEPRICE has been practicing sharing activities for 10 years since 2014 with Beautiful Store, carrying out various social contribution activities such as Reper Day.
