Jeju Air Strengthens Southeast Asia Routes... "Daily Flights Between Vietnam and Laos"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jeju Air announced on the 6th that it will operate daily flights on the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh routes in Vietnam and the Vientiane route in Laos starting April 20. This comes after a suspension of flights for over three years due to COVID-19.


Jeju Air's Incheon~Hanoi route departs from Incheon International Airport daily at 9:10 PM (local time) and arrives at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport at 11:45 PM local time. The return flight departs Hanoi at 1:15 AM and arrives in Incheon at 7:25 AM.


The Incheon~Ho Chi Minh route departs from Incheon International Airport daily at 9:05 PM and arrives at Ho Chi Minh Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 1:00 AM the next day. The return flight departs Ho Chi Minh at 2:00 AM and arrives in Incheon at 9:45 AM.


The Incheon~Vientiane route departs Incheon daily at 7:45 PM and arrives at Vientiane Wattay International Airport at 11:00 PM. The return flight departs Vientiane at 11:50 PM and arrives in Incheon at 7:20 AM the next day.

As of 2019, Jeju Air’s destinations in Vietnam included five cities?Da Nang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc?with eight routes. All flights were suspended due to COVID-19 but resumed last year with the Incheon~Da Nang and Nha Trang routes in June and the Busan~Da Nang route in October. Adding the Incheon~Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh routes resuming in April, Jeju Air will operate a total of five routes again. The Vientiane route in Laos, which began service in October 2017, was also suspended due to COVID-19.


Meanwhile, Jeju Air is conducting an ‘Encore Jjim Special Fare Event’ until February 12 for 33 international routes and 6 domestic routes in line with the resumption of the Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Vientiane routes. Tickets are available for domestic flights from February 6 to October 28 and for international flights from March 1 to October 28.


One-way total fares including fuel surcharges and airport facility charges start from 19,200 KRW for domestic routes, 76,800 KRW for Japan, 91,800 KRW for Southeast Asia, 155,800 KRW for Oceania, and 199,400 KRW for Singapore. Total fares may vary depending on booking dates and exchange rate fluctuations. Early closure is possible depending on reservation status. Note that some special fare tickets do not include free checked baggage service. Purchases are available only through Jeju Air’s website, mobile app, and web.


During the Encore Jjim Special Fare Event, Jeju Air offers additional discounts to customers who purchase tickets via the Jeju Air app. Domestic ticket buyers can receive up to a 5% discount, and international round-trip buyers can get up to 30,000 KRW off with promotional codes. Especially for the routes resuming in April?Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Vientiane?discounts can reach up to 50,000 KRW round-trip. Additionally, new members on Jeju Air’s website making their first reservation can receive an extra 7% discount on domestic fares and 5% on international fares, which can be combined with promotional codes.
