The Korea Racing Authority announced on the 6th that on the 16th, at the LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam racetrack, it will hold a safety culture practice campaign event including a parade, jockey meeting, and safety pledge to strengthen communication among stakeholders and create a safe horse racing workplace.
The campaign aims to encourage participation in safety culture practice through on-site communication among horse racing stakeholders and to strengthen partnerships within the horse racing industry. A total of 20 people will attend the event, including the Head of the Horse Racing Headquarters, the Head of the Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, the Head of the Busan-Gyeongnam Horse Racing Office, trainers, jockeys, and track riders.
The Korea Racing Authority has selected ‘Strengthening Safety Environment’ as one of the key strategic priorities for this year, with a particular focus on enhancing safety at horse racing sites.
In 2023, it plans to make every effort to prevent horse racing accidents by ▲strengthening partnerships for accident prevention among horse racing stakeholders ▲focusing on preventing accidents on the racetrack ▲reinforcing safety rules at horse racing sites ▲supporting the enhancement of safety management expertise among horse racing stakeholders.
