Golden Blue Launches Canadian Premium Lager 'Molson Canadian'

Golden Blue International announced on the 6th that it will launch Molson Coors' Canadian premium lager, 'Molson Canadian.'


Molson Coors is one of the world's top three beer companies, with a portfolio of over 100 products, operating globally in the United States, Canada, Europe, and other regions. Golden Blue International first partnered with Molson Coors in November 2021 and has been importing and distributing various products such as Miller Genuine Draft, Blue Moon, and Coors.


The newly introduced 'Molson Canadian' is inspired by Canada's vast pristine nature and highlights the authentic taste of lager. It was first brewed in 1786 by the Molson company in Canada. Molson is the oldest brewery in North America and has been continuously researching and developing to produce the highest quality beer for over 230 years.


Molson Canadian uses high-quality barley and carefully selected hops based on strict standards, offering a freshness that cannot be found in other products. Notably, no preservatives are used during the brewing process, which preserves the clean taste characteristic of lager beer. Molson Canadian pairs well with most foods, including meat, noodles, and fried dishes, thanks to its distinctive refreshing sensation and smooth finish.


It has an alcohol content of 4% and is available in 330mL bottles and 500mL cans. The canned product is currently available at convenience stores and large supermarkets nationwide, while the bottled product will be available in entertainment venues such as pubs from mid-February.


Kim Dong-wook, CEO of Golden Blue International, said, "Molson Canadian is a rare Canadian beer in the domestic market with differentiated competitiveness, and we expect it to provide freshness to consumers who are fatigued by the widely spread European beers in Korea. Especially, since it aligns well with the consumption trends of the MZ generation, who value unique experiences, we will prioritize raising awareness among target consumers and carry out various marketing activities."
