[Exclusive] First Joint Schedule of Non-Yoon Faction Presidential Candidates "Protest for Yoon Core Group Resignation"

Holding placards with slogans like 'Principled Politics Without Hesitation'
Distinguishing by opposing pro-Yoon faction and Ahn Cheol-soo as well

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Non-Yoon faction figures who have thrown their hats into the ring for the People Power Party's March 8 party convention will launch a 'Yun Hae-gwan (key associates of President Yoon Seok-yeol)' resignation campaign in front of the National Assembly on the 6th as their first joint schedule.

Cheon Ha-ram, chairman of the Suncheon Gap party committee and candidate for party leader, Heo Eun-ah, a candidate for Supreme Council member, former youth Supreme Council member Kim Yong-tae, and Lee Gi-in, a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly challenging for youth Supreme Council member, will form a square formation in front of Gukhoe-daero from 11:30 a.m. that day to promote their campaign with placards. The purpose is to secure support through face-to-face communication with party members and the public.

Each candidate plans to directly express their convictions for party reform. They will actively display placards with slogans such as "Nomination rights to 1 million party members," "Helpers to oust the treacherous Yun Hae-gwan," "Principled politics without hesitation," and "Verified true attackers."

Recently, ahead of the party convention, former lawmaker Na Kyung-won announced she would not run, and Assemblyman Ahn Cheol-soo has been subjected to collective attacks by pro-Yoon faction lawmakers, heightening dissatisfaction among party members toward pro-Yoon faction lawmakers. In particular, controversy arose when lawyer Shin Pyeong stated that if Assemblyman Ahn becomes party leader, President Yoon Seok-yeol would leave the party and form a new party. Non-Yoon faction lawmakers also view Assemblyman Ahn as an "old-fashioned politician" and declare their intention to implement a new kind of politics different from theirs.
