For Parents, Organized as a Digital Seedling Camp
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Office of Educational Innovation at Gyeongsang National University will hold a special lecture for parents on the theme of "Future Education Transformed by Software and Artificial Intelligence (SW·AI)" on the morning of the 10th at KB Injaenium Sacheon.
At the lecture, Kang Hye-kyung, an admissions officer from Jinju National University of Education, Lim Wan-chul, Deputy Director of the Office of Educational Innovation at Gyeongsang National University, Choi Jae-hyung, Director at Microsoft, and Seo Jeong-ho, CEO of Big Spring Street, will give talks on how to educate children to live in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, including software and artificial intelligence.
Gyeongsang National University has been selected by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity as a university to operate the "Digital New Sprout Camp (Digital New Sprout (Software·AI) Camp)," where elementary, middle, and high school students can learn software (SW) coding practice and basic artificial intelligence (AI) for free during school vacations.
Gyeongsang National University is conducting software and artificial intelligence-related education for elementary, middle, and high school students in the province who applied from December 16 last year to the end of February, with a project budget of 1.5 billion KRW.
So far, 1,216 students from 38 schools who have completed the program have requested the opening of various courses utilizing artificial intelligence and software.
Accordingly, Gyeongsang National University plans to conduct in-person education at the KB Injaenium Sacheon Training Center from the 6th to the 10th.
The special lecture for parents was prepared as part of this in-person education. Parents who wish to participate in the education can apply in advance. The number of participants is limited to 90 on a first-come, first-served basis. Those selected to participate will be notified via Kakao AlimTalk.
In the in-person education for students, Professor Song Seon-young of the Department of Ethics Education at Gyeongsang National University will lecture on "Future Society and Online Ethics," and Professor Choi Hyun-ho of the Department of Nano New Materials Engineering will lecture on the theme of "Artificial Intelligence and the Future."
