On the 5th, posts and comments appeared on online communities reporting diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain after eating Yukhoe ordered from an internet shopping mall recently. They showed symptoms of food poisoning, such as the whole family suffering from diarrhea the day after eating Yukhoe or experiencing discomfort with diarrhea and chills.
The product was introduced on the 'Hot Deal' board, which features special price items on online communities, on the 6th of last month. The regular price was 11,500 KRW, and the discounted price was 10,810 KRW, with 2,550 units sold only on e-commerce company A's platform. So far, a total of 75 people have reported food poisoning damage.
As reports continued, Company A stopped selling the product around 1 a.m. that day. Company B, which made the Yukhoe, explained that it plans to conduct a component inspection on the 6th and investigate the detailed cause.
