[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Sung-heon) has been attracting attention by continuously holding special lectures for residents, allowing them to gain wisdom and knowledge across generations from distinguished figures in various fields such as philosophy, psychology, economics, and health.

As the first session of this year, Dr. Lee Si-hyung (89) will give a lecture titled “Immune Revolution, What Is Your Immune Age?” at 2 p.m. on the 24th of this month in the large auditorium on the 6th floor of the district office.

Dr. Lee Si-hyung, a psychiatrist who has served as director of Gangbuk Samsung Hospital and head of the Samsung Social Mental Health Research Institute, and is currently the director of the Serotonin Culture Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving national mental health and cultural maturity, has published 122 books over more than 40 years and also runs a YouTube channel.

Previously, in the second half of last year, the district invited notable figures such as Kim Hyung-seok, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Yonsei University, Yoo Young-kwon, head of the Counseling and Coaching Support Center at Yonsei University, Kim Kwang-doo, director of the National Future Research Institute, and In Yo-han, professor at Yonsei University College of Medicine, to hold special lectures.

The lecture topics included The Path to an Advanced Nation, Creating a Happy Life and Family, Challenges and Prospects of the Korean Economy at a Crossroads, and The Road to a Better World ? The 1% We Have Lost.

Lee Sung-heon, mayor of Seodaemun-gu, said, “We expect Dr. Lee Si-hyung’s special lecture to be a helpful time for holistic health, which is of great interest to modern people, and we will continue to enhance residents’ happiness through special lectures by distinguished figures in various fields.”
