[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, appealed on the 3rd, "Please stop the attacks toward the inside, like text bombings."
On the same day, Lee posted on Facebook under the title "Beyond Small Differences, Toward a Bigger One Team," saying, "There were remarks from those who received text bombings of criticism in the name of Lee Jae-myung supporters at yesterday's party meeting."
He added, "No matter how big the differences within us are, they are not as big as the differences with the opponents we must fight and defeat," and "Intensifying conflicts and cracks within us through criticism and disputes is self-harm."
This is interpreted as a message to the hardline supporters to refrain from criticizing the non-Lee Jae-myung faction and to prioritize showing a united front.
Lee emphasized, "I apologize to the lawmakers who were attacked and hurt in the name of Lee Jae-myung supporters," and "Let’s turn our guns outward beyond small differences and unite tightly as a bigger one team."
