[Weather] New Year's First Solar Term 'Ipchun'... Clear Skies and Chilly Morning

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] On the 4th, the first solar term of the new year, 'Ipchun,' the whole country will be clear, but the morning temperature will remain below freezing, making it chilly.

The morning low temperature will range from -12 to 0 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature will be between 3 and 9 degrees Celsius, similar to the average. In Seoul, the morning temperature is forecasted to drop to -5 degrees Celsius.

Fine dust levels will be 'bad' in southern Gyeonggi and Chungnam, while other regions will experience 'moderate' levels. Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and Chungbuk are expected to have 'bad' fine dust levels temporarily at night.

The sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the South Sea coastal waters. The wave heights in the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea.
