Focused Promotion of Training Linked to Regional Specialized Industries

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 5th that they will officially operate training courses this year to enhance the job competencies of employees working in small and medium enterprises.

SBC operates specialized training centers for SMEs in six regions nationwide, providing more than 3,800 various training courses such as job competency enhancement training and policy training through both online and offline methods.

Since its opening, the SBC training center has cultivated 1.65 million customized talents for SMEs over 40 years. Reflecting national policy tasks, it aims to train 80,000 smart manufacturing personnel by 2027. This year, it plans to nurture 16,000 digital experts in smart manufacturing fields, including smart factory introduction strategies, elemental technologies, manufacturing site management technologies, convergence technologies, and operation management technologies. In addition, 200 training courses linked to regional specialized industries will be opened to support the competitiveness enhancement of local SMEs.

Those wishing to participate in the training courses can apply through the Small and Medium Business Training Center or the e-learning training website.
