According to the provincial Office of Education, ▲ the elementary school equivalency exam is for those who have not completed the elementary school curriculum ▲ the middle school equivalency exam is for those who have graduated from elementary school or have equivalent or higher academic ability ▲ the high school equivalency exam is for those who have graduated from middle school or have equivalent or higher academic ability.
Applicants can visit the auditorium on the 2nd floor of the provincial Office of Education or the Jinju, Tongyeong, or Gimhae Education Support Offices, or apply online through the NICE Equivalency Exam Service by the 16th.
The online application deadline is moved up by one day to prevent errors caused by system overload.
Returnees (from abroad) whose academic credentials are recognized and who have a fever of 37.5℃ or higher, respiratory symptoms, or are under quarantine with a quarantine notice can submit their application online.
The exam locations will be announced on March 24 on the Gyeongnam Office of Education website, the exam date is April 8, and the announcement of successful candidates will be on May 9.
