According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters on the 3rd, 286 short-term foreign visitors who arrived at Incheon International Airport from China on the 2nd underwent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing, and 5 were confirmed positive. The positivity rate rose to 1.7% from 0.9% the previous day.
Since the mandatory COVID-19 testing for arrivals from China was implemented on the 2nd of last month, a total of 46,893 people have entered through airports from China. The positivity rate among short-term visitors tested at the airport decreased by 0.3 percentage points from the previous day, reaching a cumulative 8.7% (766 confirmed cases out of 8,783 tested).
