Namhae-gun Supports Entrance Preparation Funds for Low-Income Elementary, Middle, and High School New Students

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is promoting the ‘Entrance Preparation Fund Support Project for Low-Income Elementary, Middle, and High School New Students’ to alleviate the financial burden on low-income households and create a joyful academic atmosphere.


This year, the entrance preparation fund support targets low-income new students who have a residence in Namhae-gun as of March 1 (the month of enrollment) and are recipients of basic livelihood, medical, housing, or education benefits as of the application date.

Applications are accepted through the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers (Customized Welfare Team) until the 15th, and 100,000 KRW will be provided to the applicant’s account by the end of March.


Additionally, if applicants who applied for education benefits by March 31 are newly designated as education benefit recipients, additional entrance preparation funds will be provided individually after May.


Son Mi-kyung, Director of the Welfare Policy Division, said, “We hope that the entrance preparation fund support will be of some help to low-income households who may be experiencing difficulties.”
