[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is stepping up to support public interest activity organizations.
The Gyeonggi Public Interest Activity Support Center announced on the 3rd that it will publicly recruit participating organizations for the '2023 Public Interest Activity Organization Support Project,' which supports the autonomous and cooperative activities of (preliminary) public interest activity organizations within the province, until the 28th.
The recruitment is divided into two categories. First, the 'Nonprofit Startup Category' supports the establishment and projects of nonprofit organizations (nonprofit private organizations, nonprofit corporations, social cooperatives) that realize innovative ideas to solve social problems. Additional support such as education to strengthen activity capabilities and one-on-one expert consulting will also be provided.
The 'Project Planning Category' supports various projects aimed at spreading public interest and solving social problems in the region. Applicants can choose one of three fields?research support, regional problem solving, or issue response?depending on the purpose and type of the project.
Eligibility for application is (preliminary) public interest activity organizations located in Gyeonggi Province (nonprofit private organizations, nonprofit corporations, voluntary organizations engaged in public interest activities, etc.).
The Public Interest Activity Support Center will provide funding ranging from 3 million to a maximum of 7 million KRW per organization.
To provide detailed guidance on the project contents and application methods, the center will hold three briefing sessions in February, including sessions for northern and southern Gyeonggi and an online session.
