The resident support project in development restriction zones implements projects such as living convenience, welfare enhancement, income increase, environmental culture, and living parks, but support for transportation vulnerable persons such as the elderly due to population aging has been insufficient.

Accordingly, through this revision, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to provide services such as health, medical care, finance, and culture to transportation vulnerable persons including the elderly within development restriction zones. The project plan will be established this year and will be actively promoted from next year.

Park Jeongho, Director of the Green City Division at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, “We will actively discover resident support projects that meet the needs of residents within development restriction zones and continuously strive to provide practical support to local residents.”
