Business Implementation from February to December
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, provides incentives to travel agencies that attract domestic and international group tourists to promote tourism in Hapcheon and revitalize the local economy.
This incentive support project will be implemented from February to December. Travel agencies registered under the Tourism Promotion Act can receive incentives by submitting supporting documents if they meet the conditions such as the number of visitors, use of tourist attractions, and restaurants.
For day tours, if 10 or more domestic or international tourists use one paid tourist attraction and one restaurant, 8,000 KRW per person will be supported. For overnight tours, if two or more paid tourist attractions and two or more restaurants are used, 15,000 KRW per person per night for one night and 20,000 KRW per person for two nights will be supported.
Additionally, travel agencies using KTX and SRT trains will receive support for bus rental fees from the train station to Hapcheon. A minibus owned by the travel agency will be supported with 300,000 KRW, and a large bus with 400,000 KRW. If using a travel agency bus within Hapcheon, support will be 500,000 KRW for a minibus and 600,000 KRW for a large bus.
Yoo Seong-gyeong, Director of the Tourism Promotion Division, said, “With the easing of COVID-19 measures, demand for group tours is expected to recover, and we anticipate many visitors to Hapcheon, which offers history, culture, and various attractions and activities.” He added, “We hope that the travel agency incentive support project will help attract many tourists and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
